Local Support.
Local Impact.

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Virginia, we are doing whatever it takes to build GREAT FUTURES for local youth, providing access and opportunity through quality after-school and summer programming without the barrier of cost.

Overview

We are part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America family serving over 4 million youth ages 5-18 annually, but depend on local funding partners to keep our doors open after school and during the summer for local boys and girls. We have had a presence in Southwest Virginia since 1997.
Overview

What We Do

Over 160,000 kids in Virginia leave school with nowhere to go. They risk being left unsupervised, unguided, and unsafe. We meet a local need by bridging the gap between school and home, providing youth development programming for an average of 389 children and teens in our region each weekday.
What We Do

Where We Serve

Our service area includes Roanoke City, Roanoke County, Montgomery County, and Franklin County. Our maximum after-school program cost is $15 per week and we never turn any child away for the inability to pay. 91% of our Club members qualify for free or reduced-price school lunch.
