At Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Virginia, our Board of Trustees stands united around one simple but powerful belief: every child in Southwest Virginia deserves a safe place to learn, grow, and thrive. For almost 30 years, we’ve worked side-by-side with staff, volunteers, families, and community partners to open doors of opportunity for our area’s youth, giving them academic support, healthy activities, mentorship, and a safe place to belong.

Why I Serve
My why is to help ensure that every young person—regardless of their background or circumstances—has access to the support, opportunities, and practical skills needed to build a successful future. As an adoptive parent, educator, and financial-services professional, I understand how one caring adult and the right resources can change the direction of a child’s life. Serving on the Boys & Girls Club board allows me to advocate for young people, strengthen families, and help create a community where every child feels supported, capable, and confident about their future.
