February is Black History Month, and that means it’s time once again for UScellular’s national Black History Month Art Contest! Our Boys & Girls Club members had a great time in January researching and creating drawings of Black S.T.E.M. heroes like George Washington Carver and Mae Jamison. We had over 50 entries from our 11 Clubs across Southwest Virginia. The judges’ ten favorites from all 11 Boys & Girls Clubs in the region then moved onto online voting at the UScellular website, along with entries from Clubs across the country! You can still vote daily through February 28th! The top three vote-getters from each Boys & Girls Club will be announced in March and will receive prizes that include $250 for first place, $150 for second and $100 for third. We will have an awards ceremony to announce our winners in March!
