Thanks to our partner Cox, NFL Super Bowl football player Malcolm Mitchell made a special visit to our 9th Street Club on Monday, August 28. Malcolm played for the New England Patriots in the 2017 Super Bowl and founded the Share the Magic Foundation whose mission is to transform children’s lives through literacy. Malcolm spent his visit sharing inspiring stories with our kids, signing football souvenirs, answering questions, shooting some hoops, and reading to our 1st graders. In attendance were State Delegate Joe McNamara, Roanoke City Council Member Joe Cobb, and Roanoke City Mayor Sherman Lea.
